Distinguished Guest Lecturers Join Human Rights Course

Over the past month, students of the Strategy-Making in Human Rights Organizations course had the unique opportunity to work directly with Douglas A. Johnson of Harvard University; Tarek Zeidan, Executive Director of Helem in Lebanon; and András Kádár, Co-Chair, and Anikó Bakonyi, Senior Programme Officer, of the Hungarian Helsinki Committee.

The students worked with the visiting lecturers to come up with solutions to real issues currently facing these NGOs. Each group came up with tactical maps to analyze the situations and evaluate the best strategies and tactics for these scenarios. The sessions continued for several weeks with students working virtually with the experts on these issues.

The Strategy-Making in Human Rights Organizations course is taught by Prof. Dr. Katrin Kinzelbach for the Human Rights Masters students and Political Science Masters students.
