In 2014, professors and supporters of the programme from the ‘human rights scene’ in Nuremberg founded an association to support the students through financial contributions towards excursions, events as well as scholarships. The association has since expanded and now also includes alumni, aiming to also provide them with a space for networking and keeping in touch. The friends association has since sponsored scholarships, organised networking events both among students and with the Nuremberg Human Rights Centre, and supported the programme excursions to Geneva, Strasbourg and Berlin.
The association is funded exclusively through voluntary donations that help the next generations of human rights students, advocates and activists to pursue their studies with us and to enjoy their immersion in international human rights spaces in Geneva and Berlin.
