From the winter semester of 2026/27 onwards, the M.A. Human Rights will be offered as a two-year program under new rules.
The revised curriculum adds a fourth semester to the program structure, strengthening the methodological education in the program and offering more options to complement the core courses with elective modules according to a student’s individual interests. The new module structure as well as suggested study plans for full-time and part-time study can be found here.
The new program rules also make changes to the requirements for admission. Professional experience will no longer be mandatory for admission. Instead, the assessment will focus on a candidate’s educational background and their previous knowledge and experience in the area of human rights. Details are available here.
Finally, the program will no longer incur tuition fees. Students will only have to pay the general semester fee of 72 € per semester as of 2025.
If you have any questions on the new program rules, please contact our program coordinator Ms Ines Kalam.
