Thoughts on the programme: The master’s in human rights at FAU is unique because it provides a solid foundation in the philosophical, political and legal aspects of the discipline before allowing students the opportunity to focus on our unique individual interests. My hope for this program is that it will position and empower me to become a better community advocate.

The professors are everything I had hoped for and more! They are knowledgeable and kind. Perhaps, even more, enriching is the range of experience and expertise within the student body. We represent a wide range of cultures – we are not just learning with each other; we are learning from each other every day.

Also, Erlangen is a great city for students – it’s safe, people are extraordinarily kind, there are cultural opportunities galore. So far, FAU has surpassed expectations!

Professional background: Given my experience in communications, as a writer, editor and as a strategist, I am working with hope-based communications to create more hopeful and impactful human rights narratives.
