In solidarity with the protestors in Iran, the Politics and Human Rights lecture last week discussed the ongoing social movement and invited two Iranian alumni of the MA Human Rights to speak about their experiences organizing social movements in the country. Monireh Zahedi Galougahi and Mahdi Khodai joined Prof. Kinzelbach to discuss the subject of social movements in authoritarian settings and women’s rights in Iran.
