14 students of this year’s class went on an excursion to Berlin for two days to meet professionals in the field of human rights work. Officials of Human Rights Watch, the German Anti-Discrimination Agency, the German Foreign Office and the German Institute for Human Rights as well as Bärbel Kofler, the Federal Commissioner for Human Rights, and Gabriela Heinrich, Member of the Committee on Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid at the German Parliament, took the time to meet with us. Our students were given an insight on different aspects of practical human rights work and had the opportunity to ask their questions. We would like to thank all speakers for the chance to meet with them and for making this excursion a success.
